Air Quality Collected from AirBeam at Dockweiler Beach Air Quality Collected from AirBeam at LAX Airport Air Quality Collected from AirBeam on 104th St and Prairie
Here we are on our first adventure to the destined Dockweiler Beach. as we collect data on the air quality and determine the measurements of particular matter in the air. This is the second stop we made when collecting research, LAX Airport. We went to 3 different terminals and compared the air quality of each terminal.
Worst Particle Pollution Location We predict that the worst location with the highest particle pollution will be LAX. The reason for this would be the constant flow of traffic of both vehicles and planes entering LAX, dropping and moving passengers. Our research shows this because LAX is the world's third busiest airport with aircraft movement. Los Angeles Airport would be worse than the pollution of at Hawthorne Airport due to the fact that LAX is an international airport with a much great flow and commercial flights, unlike Hawthorne airport that is a small plane airport. Best Particle Pollution Location We predict that the best location for the air particle pollution would be Huntington Beach. This would be because the beach is farther away from Los Angles, thus has a smaller population and less traffic. Not to mention the marine flow that comes from the beach.
We are excited to have made plans for our project. Check out our updated website with a budget, timeline, lots of research and this blog. Feel free to make comments on the blog or contact us with any questions. Thank You!
We had the opportunity to present our project to the Lennox Academy Board at their monthly meeting yesterday. We want to thank them both for their suggestions and support. In particular we want to thank Dr. Bruce McDaniel for allowing us to present. Hopefully this is the first of many presentations about our project.
